DHPA Executive Director
DHPA’s mission of promoting the high quality, cost-efficient care provided in independent GI practices has clearly resonated with our colleagues across the country. From a fledgling organization created in early 2014 with less than 400 physicians in 11 member practices, we now stand at more than 1,800 physicians in 76 practices. We grew by seven states in 2017 – with member practices in 36 states across every region of the nation – and welcomed the following 13 practices to DHPA:
Associates in Gastroenterology – Colorado Springs, CO
Consultants in Gastroenterology – Columbia, SC
GastroArkansas – Little Rock, AR
Gastroenterology Associates of Colorado Springs – Colorado Springs, CO
Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County – Fairfield, CT
Gastrointestinal Associates, P.A. – Kansas City, KS
Gateway Gastroenterology – Chesterfield, MO
G.I. Associates of West Alabama – Tuscaloosa, AL
GI Medicine Associates – Saint Clair Shores, MI
Puget Sound Gastroenterology – Seattle, WA
The Oregon Clinic – Portland, OR
New York Gastroenterology Associates – New York, NY
Wilmington Gastroenterology Associates – Wilmington, NC
Greater Houston Gastroenterology – Houston, TX
Although our growth this year has been remarkable – and is a testament to our collective hard work – there are still 14 states in which DHPA does not yet have a member practice. And even in those states in which we have one or more independent GI groups that are already part of DHPA, I know that there are additional “gold standard” groups that would benefit greatly from joining us. Our collective voice is our greatest strength when it comes to advocating on behalf of our member practices and the millions of patients we have the privilege of serving.
Please email me if you have contacts in an independent GI practice that might be interested in joining DHPA. We would enjoy working with you to start a conversation with that group. In the meantime, I encourage you to share the presentation with your contacts at prospective member practices.
